Freight Market Challenges

As the economy continues to accelerate and rebound from the impact of COVID-19, trucking capacity limitations, driver shortages, and robust industrial product demand are causing significant issues relating to freight reliability. Mississippi Lime Company (MLC) is experiencing these same challenges and we are working hard to mitigate the impact to our customers. However, due to the magnitude of the current situation, freight rates and product deliveries may be affected.

We ask that our customers collaborate with us as follows:

• Openly communicate inventory levels
• Ensure timely order submittal and cancellation if required
• Allow for delivery window flexibility
• Accept freight rate increase pass throughs that carriers are mandating due to these circumstances.

MLC’s dedicated in-house logistics team will continue to leverage our extensive carrier network and we believe that with your help we can mitigate the supply impact of this challenging environment. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility and will continue to keep you informed.
