FLOOD STATEMENT

The Central Plains and Midwest have experienced considerable precipitation this year and as a result, Mississippi Lime has begun preparing to deal with flooding conditions along the Mississippi River.

While these flood conditions do not affect our ability to produce products, the flooding situation will immediately affect our ability to ship by rail and barge.  The railroad is removing equipment in preparation for high water and there is a likely closure of the flood gates by the Army Corps of Engineers.  We are addressing this situation through the use of an alternate route to ship rail but this route restricts rail car volume and adds additional rail transit time and cost to both inbound and outbound shipments.

Mississippi Lime will continue to prioritize keeping our customers supplied to the best of our ability.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and will continue to work diligently to keep our customers supplied until the logistics network returns to normal.
